The Youth Chinese Test
中小学生汉语考试 (zhōng xiǎo xué shēng hàn yǔ kǎo shì)
is abbreviated as the YCT test. It is the official Chinese proficiency test organised and launched by China Hanban to encourage foreign young students to learn Chinese and improve their Chinese proficiency.
Test Structure
The YCT Test assesses young foreign students' abilities to use Chinese in their daily and academic lives. It consists of a writing test and a speaking test, which are independent of each other.
The writing test is divided into four levels: the YCT (level 1), YCT (level 2), YCT (level 3), and YCT (level 4). You can download the mock paper below:

Test takers who are able to pass the YCT (Level 1) can understand and use some of the most common Chinese phrases and sentences and possess the ability to further their Chinese language studies. 通过YCT（一级）的考生可以理解并使用最常用的汉语词语和句子，具备进一步学习汉语的能力。
