YCT Test for Children (Youth Chinese Test)
Build a Strong Foundation in Mandarin from a Young Age
The YCT (Youth Chinese Test) is an internationally recognized Mandarin proficiency test designed specifically for non-native Chinese learners aged 6–15. It assesses a child’s ability to listen, read, and communicate in Mandarin in a practical, age-appropriate way—making it an ideal benchmark for young learners studying Chinese as a second language.
At Han Hai Language Studio, we support children not only in YCT exam preparation, but also in building long-term confidence and enjoyment in using Chinese in real-life contexts.
What Is the YCT Exam?

The YCT is developed to evaluate how well children can use Mandarin in everyday situations such as school life, family conversations, and social interactions.
Key Features of the YCT:
Designed for international children learners
Focuses on practical communication, not rote memorization
Globally recognized and widely accepted
Clear progression pathway from YCT → HSK
